What is NWVSA?

The Northwest Vietnamese Student Association (NWVSA), a voluntary, non-partisan, community-based organization, was founded in 2008 on the common goal to empower and develop students and professionals within the Vietnamese community in the Northwest region through transformative leadership, experiential learning, close-knit mentorship and collaborative networking

Our Goals

Helping students get hands-on experience through leadership opportunities and networking events

Recognizing and encouraging the growth of leadership and service to the Vietnamese community

Bringing together students and young professionals to build a strong network and sense of community throughout the Northwest region

In collaboration with UNAVSA, we are happy to announce our Collective Philanthropy Project 2025-2026 beneficiary to be Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH)! Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing programs and policies to empower people with disabilities in Vietnam. Since our founding in 1991, we have worked alongside the Vietnamese government, local partners, and international organizations to develop sustainable solutions for disability rights and accessibility. Through direct services such as rehabilitation services, mobility aid distribution and indirect initiatives like policy advocacy, we strive to improve the quality of life for Vietnamese with disabilities and their families, ensuring equal opportunities for education, employment, and social integration. 🗣 Know your rights! 🗣 As I.C.E. raids continue across communities in the US, it is pivotal for all of us to know our rights. We stand on a pillar of education with a civic duty to ensure our constituents know their rights regarding raids in their local areas. We’ve partnered with our regional partners to help bring you our collective resource document, a continuously growing collection of curated resources to help keep you informed and prepared. Organized by each region with resources for each state, our live document can be found on our linktree.
