Mission

The Northwest Vietnamese Student Association (NWVSA) is a voluntary, non-partisan, community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit made up of students and young leaders. We’re here to help people grow, connect with their Vietnamese roots, and give back to the community. Our mission is to support leaders who want to promote culture and civic engagement by building a welcoming space where people feel accepted and empowered.

Through cultural events, leadership development programs, and community service projects, NWVSA provides opportunities for members to celebrate their heritage while fostering personal and professional growth. By uniting students and young professionals across the Northwest, we aim to strengthen the Vietnamese community, bridge generational gaps, and amplify voices that often go unheard. Together, we work toward creating a future where Vietnamese identity and leadership are not only preserved but thrive in diverse and meaningful ways.

Vision

Our vision is to create community and cultural empowerment through shared leadership. We believe that by working together and lifting each other up, we can build a stronger, more connected Vietnamese community in the Northwest.

This vision goes beyond simply preserving traditions—it is about creating spaces where future generations can explore their identities with pride and confidence. By encouraging collaboration, mentorship, and open dialogue, we hope to inspire individuals to take on leadership roles that reflect both their cultural heritage and their unique perspectives. In doing so, we envision a community that is not only resilient and united but also adaptable, innovative, and ready to make a positive impact in the broader society.
